About Beverly Stayart

Career


Legal executive Beverly Stayart has over 17 years of experience in finance and marketing, earning her MBA from the University of Chicago. Since 1992, Beverly Stayart has served with Stayart Law Offices in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. She is currently the CFO and Director of Business Development. Beverly Stayart's responsibilities involve all financial aspects, as well as interaction and coordination with office staff. Beverly Stayart oversees all evidentiary discovery, as well as assists with trial preparation and scheduling.


Charitable Work


Beverly Stayart actively supports the Humane Society of the United States by managing campaigns and soliciting public advocacy. Beverly Stayart’s work on behalf of animal welfare also includes work for the Compassion for Animals Road Expedition #4 (CARE-4) held in 2006. Specifically, Beverly Stayart drove from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Chicago, Illinois as part of a motorcade to raise awareness of the annual slaughter of baby seals in Eastern Canada. Beginning in 2005, Beverly Stayart has written hundreds of letters and emails to Canadian, U.S., and European recipients to encourage a permanent ban.


Beverly Stayart also actively supports Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Defenders of Wildlife, and World Farm Animals Day.


Beverly Stayart also enjoys learning about genealogy, particularly focusing on Native American ancestry. Beverly Stayart further demonstrates her passion for Native American culture by supporting St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota, which provides care and education for Lakota children.


Education


Beverly Stayart holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Iowa, known for its famed Writers’ Workshop. She spends some of her free time writing poetry and short stories.


Hobbies


In addition to genealogy research, Beverly Stayart is a historian. Beverly Stayart enjoys studying Civil War history because her great-grandfather Thomas Fitzgerald was a Union soldier who fought in several notable battles, including Shiloh, Tennessee, and Corinth, Mississippi. Wounded twice, he survived the war and married Hester Ann Rogers of Fort Madison, Iowa.


Another ancestor of Beverly Stayart, James Bowles Stephens, founded East Portland, Oregon, which later merged with West Portland. There are many noteworthy landmarks today in Portland, Oregon, honoring James Bowles Stephens.
